PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MOTOR AND GENERATOR UNDER SAME OPERATING CONDITIONS
Abstract
In this project, an effort is made to undertake a performance analysis of the motor and generator in their four-phase (8/6), four-phase (8/6), and two-phase (4/2) forms. To comprehend the difficulty required in modeling a motor or generator as well as to distinguish them based on inputs like total torque or generated speed, two motor designs are analyzed. Each motor and generator is simulated using both voltage control & current control, with the results being recorded and analyzed. Each type of motor and generator is subjected to a load study with each control technique used, with the maximum load or nominal load being determined for each technique. Initially, It is first necessary to model the dynamic equations of the generator and the motor in SIMULINK.
